Job summary

System One is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support and enhance the cybersecurity program across North and South America. The role collaborates with Corporate IT, Plant IT, business stakeholders, and third-party providers to protect enterprise IT, cloud services, endpoints, networks, and OT environments from evolving threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4-6 years of cybersecurity, systems administration, or security engineering experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise IT environments, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Intune, Sentinel, EDR/XDR, and vulnerability management tools.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, AD, IAM, cloud security).
• Experience with security monitoring, incident response, and security operations activities.
• Ability to analyze security alerts, logs, and system events for investigations and remediation.
• Familiarity with frameworks like NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% within the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South America.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT, plant IT, stakeholders, and third parties to protect information systems and data assets from cybersecurity threats.
• Implement, administer, and monitor security controls for cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Participate in security reviews of new technologies and infrastructure to identify and mitigate risks.
• Assist with vulnerability management activities and remediation tracking.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts and incidents.
• Analyze security logs, endpoint telemetry, and network activity to identify risks and IOCs.
• Support security monitoring platforms, alert tuning, and detection capability improvements.
• Administer identity security tech including Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management.
• Support data protection initiatives such as data classification and DLP.
• Assist with securing cloud services like Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Collaborate with Plant IT to balance security with uptime and safety in OT environments.
• Maintain cybersecurity documentation and incident records.
• Support policies, standards, and compliance initiatives including audits and risk assessments.
• Communicate risks and issues effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to strengthen skills.

Our Client is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support and enhance the company's cybersecurity program across North and South America (U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina). This role partners with Corporate IT, Plant IT, business stakeholders, and third-party providers to protect enterprise IT, cloud services, endpoints, networks, and manufacturing/OT environments from evolving threats.

• Assist with vulnerability management activities, including reviewing scan results and tracking remediation.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts, incidents, and suspicious activities, supporting incident response efforts.

• Support security monitoring platforms, alert tuning, and detection capability improvements.
• Administer and support identity security technologies, including Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management.

• Participate in professional development and ongoing training to strengthen cybersecurity skills.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, or security engineering roles.
• Experience supporting enterprise IT environments, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity technologies including Microsoft Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Sentinel, EDR/XDR, and Vulnerability Management tools.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, Active Directory, IAM, and cloud security concepts.
• Experience with security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and security operations activities.
• Ability to analyze security alerts, logs, and system events for investigations and remediation.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, and CISSP (preferred).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% within the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South America.
