Job summary

Element Materials Technology in Fremont, CA is seeking a CRA Device Test Engineer to join our lab and lead cybersecurity testing for connected devices. You will design and implement secure test solutions, assess compliance with EN 303 645, EN 18031, and other standards, and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires a degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and the ability to translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders. US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong security mindset to enable business growth.
• Ability to apply cybersecurity standards to devices.
• Experience with EN 18031 and ETSI EN 303 645 standards.
• Clear written designs, reports, procedures and standards.
• Good communication translating technical findings to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Leads cybersecurity test activities for devices to meet standards.
• Maintain knowledge of product cyber requirements and share across team.
• Provide cybersecurity assessments of products against applicable standards.
• Mentor and train cybersecurity test engineers.
• Develop and maintain test procedures aligned with ISO 17025.
• Support audits from internal and external parties.
• Engage with customers to provide technical status updates and quotations.
• Ensure confidentiality and handle additional duties as directed.
