This role is an exciting opportunity for a security-focused professional to support clients in securing their Microsoft Cloud environments and related applications. You will lead complex cybersecurity projects, provide architectural guidance, and deliver strategic solutions to enhance organizational security posture. The position combines hands-on technical expertise with client-facing responsibilities, including advising on best practices, implementing advanced security controls, and developing actionable security strategies. Working in a collaborative, remote-friendly environment, you will contribute to innovative solutions, influence client security initiatives, and drive measurable improvements in cybersecurity effectiveness.
Accountabilities
- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, including policies, frameworks, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Design, configure, and integrate security controls and technologies, such as SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and cloud security tools
- Provide expertise in security architecture for systems, networks, and cloud environments, ensuring alignment with industry standards and client needs
- Lead and manage cybersecurity projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and addressing technical concerns or escalations effectively
- Conduct research on emerging threats, cybersecurity trends, and best practices, contributing to thought leadership and internal knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT audit, or related roles with progressively increasing responsibilities
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices
- Proficiency in network and system security concepts, secure architecture design, and secure coding practices
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives concurrently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience applying industry standards and best practices (CIS, NIST, PCI, HIPAA) across IT, network, cloud, and enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, security solutions, and integration technologies, including but not limited to:
- Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS, GCP
- Microsoft Defender XDR, Sentinel, Security Center, Purview, Priva, Intune, Entra, SharePoint
- Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), IAM, PAM, PIM, WAF, SOAR
- DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, REST/SOAP APIs
- Data management and analysis tools such as ELK Stack, SQL/NoSQL, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses
