Avertium is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant for the Acceleration & Optimization team, focusing on Microsoft Cloud. You should be security-focused, with expertise in Microsoft cloud infrastructure and applications. The role involves developing and delivering reports, presentations, diagrams, and creating implementation/integration plans and programs. Subject matter expertise in one or multiple cloud platforms and solutions is required. You should be self-disciplined, capable of working independently on tasks sometimes without clear requirements, and able to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.

This role requires leading architecture and integration projects, often in a consultative capacity, evaluating clients' business challenges, and applying technical expertise and industry best practices to provide secure, innovative, and cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Security strategy development: Collaborate with clients to develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, define security frameworks, policies, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives and industry standards.
2. Security controls implementation: Design and implement security controls and technologies, including configuring security tools like SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
3. Security architecture design: Provide expertise in designing secure systems, networks, and cloud environments, developing architectures aligned with best practices and client needs.
4. Project management: Lead and manage complex cybersecurity projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
5. Client relationship management: Maintain strong client relationships, act as a trusted advisor, and address concerns effectively.
6. Research and thought leadership: Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, contribute to whitepapers, presentations, and training.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT audit, or similar roles.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in network and system security, including secure architecture design and coding practices.
• Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience applying standards like CIS, NIST, PCI, HIPAA.
• Skills and experience in areas such as Cloud Architecture, Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, and security solutions like SIEM, CASB, IAM, PIM, and more.
