HEPCO seeks a qualified Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support related to regulatory compliance matters, including reviewing and responding to correspondence from regulated entities about the DFS Cybersecurity Regulation and handling related inquiries.

Based at One State Street, New York, NY, the role supports the legal team with document review, regulatory communications, and general clerical tasks for a roughly two-year assignment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic legal processes, terminology, and forms.
• Knowledge of legal research techniques.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret laws, regulations, and documents.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Paralegal Certificate
• Minimum of 2 years of complex clerical-level legal support
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• At least 1 year of full-time work with the same employer

Responsabilités

• Review and respond to correspondence from regulated entities regarding compliance with the Department of Financial Services’ Cybersecurity Regulation
• Respond to phone calls and voicemails regarding cybersecurity regulatory compliance matters
• Address related matters and inquiries as instructed
• Provide legal and administrative support as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
