Job summary

Coalfire is offering a Summer 2027 internship program in the Compliance Advisory team. The 10-week paid internship supports client projects, with remote or hybrid options based on location and preference.

You will gain hands-on experience in governance, risk, and compliance while learning security frameworks and how to document findings. Ideal candidates are current students graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 who are eager to contribute to real projects and build professional skills

Qualifications

• Interest in Compliance Advisory—Public Sector/FedRAMP, Healthcare/HIPAA, and GRC/SOC2, ISO.
• Ability to analyze security artifacts and document results clearly.
• Desire to learn governance, risk, and compliance in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Participate in control testing interviews for client engagements.
• Assist with information/artifact gathering for advisory deliverables.
• Analyze control artifacts against standards and document results clearly.
• Develop understanding of FedRAMP, ISO, SOC, and HIPAA/HITRUST frameworks.
