Job summary

American National Insurance Company in Houston, TX, offers a 2027 Summer Internship Program designed to provide real-world IT and cybersecurity experience through hands-on projects, leadership exposure, and professional networking.

Interns work 37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, May 24 to August 6 (with possible extension to August 13), and are paid hourly while contributing to Human Risk Management, awareness campaigns, and analytics.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in cybersecurity, communications, psychology, business, information technology, marketing, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cybersecurity awareness campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
• Support phishing simulations and awareness activities.
• Create educational materials, communications, and training content.
• Analyze program metrics and develop reports to measure effectiveness.
• Assist with content development and program improvement efforts.
• Participate in team meetings, collaborative projects, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Contribute to initiatives that promote positive cybersecurity behaviors across the organization.
