Job summary

IBM is offering a Cyber Security Apprenticeship in Boston, where you will join a local cohort and learn through a structured personal skills roadmap. You’ll work with managers and mentors on hands-on projects within the Security Operations Center.

You will gain experience across monitoring, threat analysis, incident response, and security tool deployment as part of IBM’s formal apprenticeship recognized by the DOL. This role is intended to prepare you for full-time opportunities within IBM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some knowledge or experience with networking, cybersecurity, or scripting languages.
• Willingness to complete the requirements of the apprenticeship program.
• Associates degree in CS/IT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and audit client systems to protect information resources and data.
• Monitor, track, and analyze networks/systems for potential security violations and respond to incidents.
• Investigate potential security violations, respond, and report accordingly.
• Perform continuous monitoring duties such as vulnerability assessments and event analysis.
• Install, configure, deploy, integrate, operate and maintain security toolsets.
