Job summary

Texas School for the Deaf IT in Austin, TX is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to perform complex information security analysis and manage security measures for information systems, networks, and infrastructure. The role includes incident detection, threat assessment, and vulnerability management, reporting to the Information Resources Manager / Information Security Officer.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred in IT security or related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of cybersecurity experience.
Sign Language proficiency INTERMEDIATE required; ongoing learning may be required.

Responsibilities

Perform technical risk assessments and review access needs and security violations.
Conduct cybersecurity incident detection, analysis, and prevention.
Perform vulnerability scans of networks and applications to identify weaknesses and conduct forensic analyses.
Monitor systems to protect data systems and databases from unauthorized access.
Design, automate, and oversee deployment and management of security applications and infrastructure.
Coordinate firewall configurations and encryption policies to protect data in transit.
