Hockey Western New York, LLC seeks a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern to help protect digital assets, infrastructure, and game-day tech operations. You’ll work with IT staff to monitor, detect, and respond to threats in a high-availability environment.

You will gain hands-on experience with security monitoring, incident response, and policy maintenance while contributing to security programs during the 2026-2027 season.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed bachelor’s in CS/IT/Cybersecurity.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
• Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS CE/ISO 27001) preferred.
• Familiarity with SIEM, endpoint protection, or vulnerability scanning tools.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Monitor network traffic, security alerts, and logs using security tools.
• Assist incident response, including triage, investigation, and documentation of events.
• Identify and prioritize vulnerabilities across systems and networks.
• Help maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Analyze threats and suspicious activity with IT and cross-functional teams.
• Stay informed on emerging threats and defensive technologies.
• Assist with compliance activities and security reporting.
• Maintain utmost confidentiality.
