Job summary

BNH in White Oak, MD seeks a Cybersecurity Analyst Lead to sustain an operational security posture for Test Operations and Sustainment (TOS II). This onsite role focuses on authoring and implementing cybersecurity policies and procedures, and documenting assessment activities for information systems.

The position requires ISSO/ISSM experience, strength in patch management, and coordination with teams to meet SSP requirements. Must hold U.S. citizenship for federal access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline with at least 2 years of experience in information security or network administration; OR Master’s degree with no prior experience; OR high school diploma with at least 6 years in the same fields.
• 1 year of professional experience configuring, administering, or troubleshooting Windows and Linux.
• 1 year of ISSM or ISSO duties.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for access to secure federal databases.

BNH is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst Lead to support Test Operations and Sustainment (TOS II) for Tunnel 9 at White Oak, Maryland. This onsite role focuses on sustaining an effective operational security posture, authoring and implementing cybersecurity policies and procedures, and contributing to security compliance and information system protections.

Role Summary

In this Cybersecurity Analyst Lead position, you will maintain operational security for assigned information systems and support the ISSM mission. Responsibilities include authoring and implementing cybersecurity policies and procedures, documenting Assessment and Authorization activities, and architecting cybersecurity solutions for information systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to perform day-to-day information system security operations, including hardware and software implementations.
• Capture and refine information security requirements and integrate them into information systems through architecting, design, and configuration management.
• Apply best practices for implementing security requirements across systems.
• Ensure patch management and flaw remediation are performed in accordance with the System Security Plan (SSP).
• Oversee continuous monitoring activities, including auditing aligned to the SSP.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to gather and understand system artifacts required for security compliance verification.
• Maintain working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.
• Implement Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to monitor and validate system security.
• Document results from Assessment and Authorization activities, and prepare and submit System Security Plans and the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
• Follow a condition of employment requiring PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) per supervisory direction and company policy.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

• Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline with at least 2 years of experience in information security or network administration; OR Master’s degree in the same technical disciplines with no prior experience required; OR high school diploma or equivalent with at least 6 years of experience in the same technical fields.
• Operating systems: 1 year of professional experience configuring, administering, or troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Security officer experience: 1 year of professional experience performing ISSM or ISSO duties.
• Clearance and access: Ability to obtain and maintain an active security clearance, and maintain authorized user access to the AEDC local area network.
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal government contract compliance and the need to access secure federal databases and networks on Arnold Air Force Base.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to have and maintain a DoD 8140 certification (examples listed include SecurityX, CISSP, CISM, CISSO, GCIA, GCSA, GCIH, GSLC, GICSP, FITSP-M).
• ISSM/ISSO experience
• Experience supporting SAP customers
• Prior experience in roles such as System or Network Administrator
• Hands-on experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools such as ACAS, NESSUS, SCAP, CornerBowl, SPLUNK, and Solarwinds
