About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic IT security team. This role is crucial in safeguarding our organization’s digital assets and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of sensitive data. The Cyber Security Analyst will focus heavily on threat hunting, risk detection, and incident response, working independently within established procedures to identify and mitigate security threats.

This position involves maintaining and updating our security tools and systems, investigating security concerns, and supporting compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cybersecurity, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to threat detection. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced threat hunting activities to proactively identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts, incidents, and breaches, ensuring rapid and effective resolution.
  • Maintain, update, and optimize cybersecurity tools, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and vendor teams to troubleshoot complex cybersecurity issues and enhance security posture.
  • Assist in the transition to new security systems and workflows, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum security.
  • Investigate security and compliance concerns, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support organization-wide security awareness initiatives and training efforts.
  • Utilize data analytics to support decision-making processes and improve operational security.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Participate in security audits and compliance activities to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices, applying continuous improvement principles.
  • Assist in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve complex issues and implement system enhancements.
  • Support incident response efforts and participate in security incident investigations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in a broad range of cybersecurity tools and techniques, with an emphasis on proactive threat detection.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Preferably a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 4 years with an associate degree, or a total of 6 years in cybersecurity or IT administration, including experience with relevant security tools.
  • Skills: Deep understanding of cybersecurity processes, threat detection, risk management, and related solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to assist during system transitions, collaborate with vendors, and utilize data for operational improvements.
  • Independence: Capable of functioning autonomously with limited supervision.
  • Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in at least 30 cybersecurity skills, including threat hunting, vulnerability management, incident response, and security architecture.

  • CompTIA Security+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
  • Other relevant cybersecurity certifications
