Job summary

84 Lumber is hiring a saw operator to cut rough lumber into truss members under supervision, ensuring safety and quality in line with shop drawings and production deadlines at the Kings Mountain facility. The role requires reading shop drawings, standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and completing safety and Sawyer training.

Training will cover operation efficiency and equipment maintenance. This is a hands-on, on-site position with opportunities to improve material usage and cost

Overview

Under direct supervision, is responsible for the safe operation of saws to cut rough lumber efficiently into individual truss members in accordance with shop drawings within the time frame determined by the supervisor and in keeping with the Quality Standards for roofs, floors and panels.
