Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated Cyber Threat Hunter to join our team in McLean, VA. You will proactively detect, investigate, and mitigate cyber threats within a large enterprise environment, leveraging MITRE ATT&CK and HMM-4 to drive detections and responses.

Requirements include 2+ years in cyber security roles, SIEM/EDR experience, and cloud knowledge. Active TS/SCI with Poly is required; remote work is not offered for this role. Competitive compensation and benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 2+ years in cyber security analyst role.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, and network traffic analysis.
• Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree in cyber security, information security, CS, engineering, or related IT.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive threat hunting using the HMM-4 approach and MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Develop hypotheses for targeted threat hunts based on threat intel and data.
• Collaborate with teams to analyze security data from logs, alerts, and network telemetry.
• Use cutting-edge tools to identify indicators of compromise and anomalies.
• Perform in-depth analysis of threats, assess impact, and recommend mitigations.
• Document objectives and produce reports with root cause analysis and remediations.
• Stay current on threats and security technologies through continuous learning.
