Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Cyber Detection Event Analyst to monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts across GM's detection environments. You will apply threat intelligence and MITRE ATT&CK methodologies to detect and respond to cyber threats, while collaborating with Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, and Cloud Security teams.

You will help develop detection capabilities across SIEM, EDR, NDR, SOAR, and cloud-native platforms, creating automation workflows and dashboards to improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience
• Strong analytical and investigative skills to review complex data
• Experience investigating security alerts and events
• Knowledge of SIEM, EDR, NDR, SOAR and cloud security

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts across detection environments
• Analyze events to identify indicators of compromise and threats
• Develop and improve detection logic, rules, and dashboards
• Collaborate with Incident Response and Threat Intelligence teams
• Create automation workflows to improve efficiency
• Stay current on threats and mitigation techniques
