Job Description

AnaVation is seeking a Cyber Threat Analyst to join our team and support our mission-critical customer in Reston, VA. As a Cyber Threat Analyst, you will create analysis products based on cyber threat fusion to document significant cyber-attacks or new vulnerabilities. Your focus will be on building higher value fusion products, expanding communication, understanding responsibilities, and building trust through improved capabilities.

As a cyber fusion expert, you will conduct research and evaluate technical and all-source intelligence, focusing on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures related to threats against networked weapons platforms and US and DoD information networks. You will analyze network events for operational impact and conduct research to assess advisory capabilities and intent. You will develop technical solutions to complex problems with considerable autonomy.

This role requires exercising latitude in setting objectives and approaches.

Required Qualifications
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 1-8 years of related experience. A Master's degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II, and the ability to obtain CSSP certification (e.g., Cloud+ or equivalent)
  • Experience and knowledge in:
  • Collaborating across cross-functional teams of all experience levels
  • Delivering commitments across short, medium, and long-term horizons
  • Leading or supporting task coordination across teams
  • Providing recommendations for data analysis and device data associations
  • Developing and delivering capabilities to improve performance
  • Understanding of classified networks, servers, storage, operating systems, applications, and supporting technologies
  • Working with reporting, automation, and visualization systems for situational awareness
  • Creating and reviewing intelligence products
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional security certifications: Security+, CCNA Security, CISSP, CySA+, SSCP, CCSP, or equivalent
  • CSSP certifications: CEH, CFR, CySA+, Cloud+, CCNA Security, GICSP
  • Cloud certifications such as AWS
