Job summary

CFC is seeking an ambitious Cyber & Tech Underwriter to join our US Cyber team in California. This permanent, full-time role focuses on underwrite low to mid-complexity cyber risks, partnering with brokers, and helping grow a profitable portfolio in the fast-moving cyber space.

You will work closely with broker partners, develop pricing and coverage terms, maintain rigorous documentation, and stay current on cyber trends.

Description

We’re looking for an ambitious underwriting professional to join our growing CFC USA Cyber team. If you love solving complex problems, working closely with brokers, and want to deepen your expertise in one of the fastest‑moving areas of insurance, this is an exciting opportunity to make your mark.
As an Underwriter, you’ll play a key part in managing and growing our US cyber portfolio. You’ll assess and underwrite low to mid‑complexity risks, apply sound judgement on submissions that fall outside automated processing, and help shape profitable growth across the region.

About the role

You’ll work closely with our broker partners - answering underwriting queries, clarifying appetite, improving submission quality, and building strong relationships through calls, meetings, and training sessions. Over time, you’ll become deeply fluent in CFC’s cyber product, underwriting philosophy, and risk assessment approach, positioning you as a trusted adviser in the market.

This is a hands‑on, collaborative role where your technical insight and broker engagement skills will directly influence the success of our cyber portfolio.

As a Cyber Underwriter, you will;

• Assess cyber risk exposures across a wide range of industries

• Build excellent relationships with brokers and deliver responsive support
