Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer to join an Agile team in Manhattan Beach, CA. The role focuses on security controls, IT material requirements (BOM), and close collaboration with GSC to support proposals and program execution.

The candidate will work with SW/Cyber teams, deploy and troubleshoot in CI/CD environments, and coordinate with ISSMs/ISSOs to meet ATO/IATT requirements. Travel up to 25% CONUS.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance is required.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret SAP clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer/Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience (Cyber Systems Engineer) or 5+ years (Principal Cyber Systems Engineer).
• Experience with SW/HW integration, troubleshooting, and field support; knowledge of DoD SW Development Life Cycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, implement, and assess security controls per NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253.
• Collaborate with software/cyber teams on deployment plans and documentation.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software deployments in CI/CD environments and at customer sites.
• Develop and manage IT material requirements documents (BOM) and coordinate with Global Supply Chain.
• Support installation, testing, and acceptance of deployed systems; coordinate with program management.
