Cornerstone Defense is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO. The role requires an Active Secret or Top Secret clearance and implements IT and cyber-security for the AEHF system database, flight software, and testbed tools. On-site work only, with a 9x80 schedule.

The candidate will manage RMF artifacts, STIGs, and patching, and coordinate with ISSM/ISSO to address cyber findings. A bachelor’s degree and seven years of experience are required, with Security+ or equivalent DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and seven years of relevant experience.
• Active Security+ certification or DoD 8140 Cybersecurity Workforce equivalent.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX, Windows, and embedded hardware; disaster recovery.
• Experience applying RMF, STIGs, and patch management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT and cyber-systems security support for the COOLR program’s AEHF System Database, Flight Software, and testbed tools.
• Maintain digital ecosystems across production and testing environments for efficiency, security, and reliability.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor peers, and coordinate with teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure RMF artifacts are prepared and RMF standards are met per program schedules.
• Collaborate with ISSM/ISSO to prioritize cyber findings and remediation.
• Support Agile/Jira planning sessions to define scope and schedule.
