Responsibilities

We are hiring a Cyber Systems Engineer, ACAS Admin at Hanscom AFB, Scott AFB, or Langley AFB. What you'll do:

  • Develop implementation guidance, best practices, schedules, and detailed product feature specifications to support integration of ACAS enterprise servers and services.
  • Provide solution engineering to ensure systems and components meet current and future standards.
  • ACAS Administration
  • Conduct testing of new ACAS technologies and create documentation to meet deadlines.
  • Provide performance tuning to systems and investigate issues with Tenable spanning a large and complex environment.
  • Deploy, maintain, and tune Tenable scanners to meet current and future needs.
  • Develop, create, deploy, and manage Tenable scan configurations for global enterprise scanning services.
  • Ensure ACAS scanners and Security Center are operational and reporting correctly.
  • Assist customers in resolving ACAS issues and make recommendations as needed.
  • Perform recurring vulnerability scans, create repositories, queries, and dashboards to ensure vulnerability reporting is available.
  • Investigate false positives or confusing scan data results.
  • Update and maintain tracking mechanisms for false positives until resolved; provide results upon resolution.
  • Create and update documentation supporting ACAS requirements, taskings, deliverables, and maintenance.
  • Install and configure updates to Tenable software in compliance with STIG requirements.
  • Support site-specific Tier II activities such as risk mitigation during change and configuration management.
  • Research and analyze DoD and AF policies and tasking orders to mitigate implementation issues.
  • Create and maintain supporting documentation including system design specs, diagrams, protocols, implementation plans, security assessments, risk analyses, testing procedures, use cases, compliance docs, eMASS, and RMF support.
  • Motivated self-starter with strong communication skills and ability to produce complex technical reports.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Support non-domain joinable device scanning.
Qualifications

Experience: 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD, or 9 years applicable experience in lieu of degree.

Required Skills:

  • Skills in SQL/XSQL Server, MAC OS, IA, IP Data Networking, Vulnerability Assessment, REM 3.X/Retina 5.X, NIST, and RMF standards.
  • Experience running ACAS on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Hands-on RHEL administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with network security zones, subnetting, VRFs, VLANs.

Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of IT experience.
  • 4-6 years Red Hat experience in DoD environment.
  • 4-6 years ACAS experience.
  • Certifications: Must maintain Security+ or higher.

Security Clearance: Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance.
