Job description

Job Title:Cyber Systems Analyst/Engineer
Location:DC area (2 to 3 days/week Washington Navy Yard)
Required Clearance: Secret
Salary:Negotiable

Overview:
Seeking a Cyber Systems Analyst/Engineer to support the SPEIR and LEED programs within PEO IWS 2.0 Above Water Sensors & Lasers Directorate. This role requires onsite work at the PEO IWS 2.0 Program Office and other DC locations 2-3 times weekly, with up to 10% travel. A hybrid work arrangement is available.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee SPEIR and LEED programs to ensure cybersecurity objectives align with acquisition lifecycle stages.
  • Provide resources and guidance to meet cybersecurity requirements on schedule.
  • Manage cyber requirements tracing and alignment with platform/combat systems.
  • Lead Cyber Ready/RMF life cycle efforts for Authority to Operate (ATO) renewals.
  • Maintain the security Body of Evidence (BoE) and lead Assessment & Authorization (A&A) for all program variants.
  • Author and maintain System Security Plan (SSP), security controls, and action plans in eMASS.
  • Support cyber policy, artifact development, and requirements updates.
  • Validate system deliveries and assist in test plan/procedure development.
  • Assess ACAS scans and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Communicate risks to the Technical Area Expert (TAE) and Functional Authorizing Official.
  • Handle program documentation like the Cybersecurity Strategy, PPP, CDRLs, and SEP.
  • Assist in Cyber Ready process implementation across the system lifecycle.
  • Analyze RMF controls and engage in cyber risk assessments and Red Team analysis.
  • Participate in engineering discussions and manage Cybersecurity/SSE working group.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent
  • Experience in information assurance or system security engineering within the DoD
  • Familiarity with DoD RMF and ATO processes
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Navy/US Government acquisition
  • Familiarity with Magic Draw/Cameo, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), UML/SySML
