Responsibilities

Peraton’s Cyber Mission in Annapolis Junction, MD supplies the Intel community with mission essential Next Generation SIGINT Analysts and Cyber professionals that support and defend our nation’s security. Peraton is seeking a System Administrator to support a critical mission of consequence within our Cyber Mission Business Unit in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnose and resolve problems.
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitor and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Aid users in accessing and using IT systems.
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Ten (10) years’ or more of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in Computer Network Operations to include:
    • TCP/IP, networks, computer configuration, remote manipulation of systems (FTP, mapping drives, share accounts), remote monitoring and administration.
    • Sun Solaris, HP-UNIX, Linux, VMS, and Windows operating systems administration to include shell scripting and XML.
    • Networking equipment and router operations.
    • Smart data tagging, virtual computing, and thin client applications.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in information assurance to include IAVA patching and NISIRT.
  • Two (2) years’ experience with RF SIGINT systems.
  • Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
