Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Cyber Support Specialist in Chantilly, VA to join our Cyber Security Team. You will shepherd IT systems through A&A processes, monitor systems to sustain accreditation, and analyze logs using various cyber security tools.

The role requires experience in cyber security, vulnerability assessment, and leading accreditation efforts. You will work in a 24/7 on-call environment and collaborate with Sponsor personnel to improve system metrics.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security, InfoSec, cyber security engineering, or network engineering.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools.
• Experience analyzing and documenting test results.
• Experience assessing systems against information assurance policies and regulations.
• Experience communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience coordinating and performing cyber security testing.
• Experience developing risk assessment and certification reports.
• Experience leading cyber security accreditation efforts for enterprise systems.
• Experience recommending mitigating countermeasures to identified threats, vulnerabilities, or shortfalls.
• Experience with Linux operating system.
• Experience writing and reviewing documents such as requirements specifications, system architecture, design documents, test plans, or cyber security plans.
• Experience decomposing functional requirements into technical requirements.
• Experience analyzing existing systems and identifying corrective actions and improvements.
• Experience preparing program documentation such as CONOPS, SSP, and preparing materials to support system accreditation.
• Active security clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sponsor with shepherding multiple IT systems through the Assessment and Accreditation (A&A) processes.
• Assist with continuous monitoring of IT systems to sustain accreditation.
• Be knowledgeable in Networking, Linux, Windows, Log analysis, Malware detection and mitigations, and A&A processes.
• Collaborate with Sponsor personnel to improve Sponsor requested metrics.
• Provide responses to questions from system cyber security managers.
• Create A&A documentation such as SSPs and Continuous Monitoring plans.
• Identify countermeasures to latest IT threats.
• Identify potential exploitation vulnerabilities and propose mitigation approaches for ongoing IT operations.
• Perform configurations of cyber security related systems.
• Utilize cyber security tools to perform log analysis, incident response, vulnerability scanning, and automation of repetitive tasks.
• Decompose customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate and brief at information systems architectural boards at the Group level.
• Work in a 24/7 on-call environment providing Tier 2/3 support and problem resolution for technology products and applications.
• Coordinate engineering projects including risk assessment, de-conflict implementations, and resolve conflicts.

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Cyber Support Specialist to add to our Cyber Security Team located in Chantilly, VA!

Responsibilities:

• The Contractor shall assist the Sponsor with shepherding multiple IT systems through the Assessment andAccreditation (A&A) processes.
• The Contractor shall assist with continuous monitoring of IT systems that are required to sustainaccreditation of these systems.
• The Contractor shall be knowledgeable in Networking, Linux, Windows, Log analysis, Malware detectionand mitigations, and the A&A process of systems.

• The Contractor shall create A&A documentation such as System Cyber Security Plans (SSP) andContinuous Monitoring plans.
• The Contractor shall identify countermeasures to the latest IT threats.
• The Contractor shall identify potential exploitation vulnerabilities and propose mitigation approaches forongoing IT operations.
• The Contractor shall perform configurations of cyber security related systems.
• The Contractor shall utilize various cyber security tools to perform log analysis, cyber security incidentresponse, vulnerability scanning, and automation of repetitive tasking’s.
• The Contractor shall decompose customer requirements into technical solutions.
• The Contractor shall participate and brief at information systems architectural boards at the Group level.
• The Contractor shall work in a 24 hour, 7 day (on-call rotation) a week environment providing in-depth Tier 2 and Tier 3 level support and problem resolution for technology products and applications.
• The Contractor shall coordinate engineering projects including performing technical risk assessment, de-conflict implementations, and resolve technical questions or conflicts.
