Booz Allen Hamilton seeks an experienced defense strategist with cyberspace expertise to advise Partner Nations on building sustainable cyberspace capabilities and aligning strategy with national objectives. You will help translate complex defense goals into actionable plans and provide high-level guidance across multiple services and agencies.

Role requires extensive military planning background, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and clearance readiness.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in military strategy, strategic planning, force development, or institutional-level defense activities.
  • Experience with cyber to integrate cyber considerations into defense strategy and planning.
  • Experience conducting military or national-level strategic and operational planning involving cyberspace.
  • Ability to advise senior military and civilian defense leaders at ministerial, Service, and Joint HQ levels.

You will serve as a defense strategist with demonstrated cyberspace experience, advising international Partner Nations on the development of institutional structures, strategies, policies, concepts, and plans necessary to build sustainable cyberspace capabilities. You will apply formal military and strategic planning expertise to help senior defense leaders translate national and defense objectives into institutional priorities, plans, force development requirements, and implementable cyber capabilities. This includes non-resident advising, organizational design, policy analysis, strategy and doctrine development, workshops, formal education, and individualized mentoring.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in military strategy, strategic planning, force development, or institutional-level defense activities, including experience at the Service, Joint, Combatant Command, or Department of War level
  • Experience with military strategy such as U.S. Army Functional Area 59 strategist, Service strategist and plans specialty, strategic planning, force development, and defense decision-making
  • Experience with cyberspace to integrate cyber considerations into defense strategy, strategic planning, force development, organizational design, capability development, and senior-leader decision-making
  • Experience conducting military or national-level strategic and operational planning involving cyberspace, including environments requiring coordination across multiple Services, ministries, or agencies
  • Experience facilitating or supporting strategic-level exercises, simulations, workshops, or tabletop exercises, including scenario development and senior-leader decision making
  • Knowledge of military cyberspace operations, command-and-control relationships, operational planning processes, force development, and cyber mission requirements
  • Ability to advise and facilitate strategic-level planning engagements with senior military and civilian defense leaders at the ministerial, Service, and Joint headquarters levels
  • Bachelor’s degree in strategy, international relations, national security, military studies, political science, or cybersecurity
