Peraton is hiring Associate Software Engineers for the Cyber Mission unit in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role focuses on joining a mature software development effort using Agile methodologies to develop and broaden skills across several languages.

The target start date is Summer 2027 after obtaining the required TS/SCI w/ polygraph clearance. This position offers a pathway to grow in a mission-critical national security-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline; 0–2 years of experience.
• May 2027 grads welcome to apply.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI w/ polygraph clearance.
• Strong foundational programming knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Java (or OO languages), Python, Agile methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and fix defects.
• Suggest improvements to documentation and software development process standards.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or environments.
• Develop simple data queries for databases or data repositories.
