Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Team Leader - Cyber Security to guide a skilled security team supporting NIH CIT ITSS. The role focuses on daily security operations, policy alignment with NIH and federal standards, and driving ongoing improvements for mission-critical systems.

You will lead Tier 2/3 analysts, coordinate incident response, vulnerability management, and risk assessments while ensuring robust security controls and effective reporting to CIT leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Tier 2/3 cybersecurity operations teams.
• Knowledge of NIH, HHS, and federal cybersecurity policies.
• Experience coordinating incident response, vulnerability management, and risk assessments.
• Ability to produce metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Must be able to obtain Tier 2 Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of IT security professionals delivering security operations.
• Oversee security postures and adherence to federal requirements.
• Coordinate incident response, vulnerability management, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
• Serve as primary point of contact for CIT ITSS leadership.
• Oversee ticket workflows, SLAs, and security-related documentation.
• Collaborate with NIH stakeholders to resolve complex security issues.
• Analyze trends and produce metrics to strengthen NIH cybersecurity posture.
• Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
