A fast-growing cybersecurity startup seeks its first Sales Engineer in the US market. This role requires supporting customers technically during the sales process and ensuring smooth implementation of solutions. Candidates must have about 5 years of experience, particularly in cybersecurity software, and excellent communication skills.
Our client is a fast-growing, unique cybersecurity startup founded by veterans from elite intelligence forces. Their advanced threat protection solutions are used today by leading organizations in the US and Europe.
They are looking for their first Sales Engineer in the US market. This is a full-time, direct-hire, home office based role with at least 50% travel. Expected start date Q4 2019.
The SE provides mainly pre-sales and sometimes post-sales support for the entire solution portfolio. The position also involves assisting in complex customer implementations and providing Tier-2 to 3 technical support and engineering consultation to service providers and large enterprise customers.
Requirements:
· About 5 years’ experience as a Sales Engineer in a cybersecurity software startup or with a cybersecurity service provider with large enterprise customers.
· Experience working for a similar Cybersecurity SaaS startup.
· Security expertise: Familiar with attack mechanisms (infection stages, delivery methods) and email security solutions.
· Experience with Sysinternals tools, Windows, and micro-services concepts.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
· Partner interaction – train partners and collaborate on joint opportunities.
· Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle (qualify opportunities, demonstrate solutions, write POCs, respond to RFIs/RFPs, support complex implementations).
· Conduct product demos and hands-on training for customers and partners.
· Collaborate with service providers on deployments, conduct needs assessments, and integrate solutions into their offerings.
· Gather customer feedback and relay to product management.
