Job summary

Modern Ballistic is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead enterprise cybersecurity initiatives in a remote capacity. The role requires hands-on management of programs involving GRC, IAM, SOC, cloud security, Zero Trust, incident response, and vulnerability management.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with cybersecurity, IT, risk, compliance, and business teams to ensure successful delivery of security transformation programs while meeting regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity/IT risk/security program management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end–to–end delivery of cybersecurity projects and transformation programs across BFSI/NBFC environments.
• Manage cybersecurity initiatives covering GRC, risk management, IAM, SOC, cloud security, network security, and Zero Trust.
• Work with security and technology teams to identify, assess, track, and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
• Drive security assessments, control implementation, remediation tracking, and audit readiness.
• Manage implementation and modernization of IAM, SSO, MFA, and access governance solutions.
• Coordinate with SOC teams for security monitoring, incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
• Drive cybersecurity compliance initiatives aligned with BFSI regulatory requirements and security frameworks.
• Manage third‑party/vendor security assessments and security controls.
• Work with cloud and infrastructure teams on AWS/cloud security, network security, WAF, CDN, firewalls, and segmentation.
• Establish project governance, milestones, KPIs, risk registers, and executive reporting.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Project Manager with strong experience in Banking, BFSI, or NBFC environments to lead enterprise cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience managing cybersecurity programs involving GRC, Risk Management, IAM, SOC, Cloud Security, Zero Trust, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and Security Compliance.

The candidate will work closely with cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, cloud, application, risk, compliance, and business teams to ensure successful delivery of security transformation programs while meeting regulatory and organizational security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Mandatory Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity / Information Security / IT Risk / Security Program Management.
• Relevant experience in Banking, BFSI, NBFC, Financial Services, or Banking Technology environments.
• Strong experience in Cybersecurity Project/Program Management.
• Experience in GRC, Risk Management, Security Compliance, and Audit Management.
• Strong understanding of IAM, SSO, MFA, Zero Trust, SOC, Incident Response, and Security Operations.
• Knowledge of Cloud Security, preferably AWS.
• Understanding of Network Security, Firewalls, WAF, CDN, IPS, Network Segmentation, etc.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and risk management frameworks.
• Experience managing multiple cybersecurity workstreams simultaneously.

Good to Have

• CISM / CISSP / CRISC / CISA certification.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• ITIL certification.
• Experience with AI‑driven security automation / security analytics.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and audits within financial services.
• Experience managing cybersecurity programs with budgets and large stakeholder groups.

BFSI Domain Experience Preferred
