Job summary

SimIS Inc. is recruiting a contractor SME to support the Operational Test and Evaluation Force in defining, conducting, and analyzing OT&E for US Navy Undersea Warfare systems.

As the Cyber Security Operational SME, you will apply Navy mission knowledge to plan and organize tasks, lead test planning, data collection, reconstruction, and analysis for complex projects. Requires a 4-year degree in a technical field and at least 2 years of DoD cybersecurity experience with hands-on work in Network

Qualifications

• 4 Year Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical engineering, Systems Engineering (technical), or Aeronautical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of DoD cybersecurity experience and 2 years' experience in Network Engineering, Programming (C/C++, python, Bash, etc.), Systems Test Engineering, Project Management, Penetration Testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and analytical support to OT&E for US Navy Undersea Warfare systems as Cyber Security Operational SME.
• Plan, conduct, and analyze structured OT&E, coordinating across teams to ensure test data collection and reconstruction.

Job Description

SimIS is seeking contractor SME support to provide technical and analytical support to Operational Test and Evaluation Force in the definition, conduct, and analysis of structured Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) of US Navy Undersea Warfare systems. As the Cyber Security Operational SME, you will apply current knowledge of the Navy and multi‑service missions, operations, logistics, management, and organizational responsibilities to plan and organize work tasks leading to the successful execution of test planning, collecting data, and performing reconstruction and analysis for complex test and evaluation projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 4 Year Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical engineering, Systems Engineering (technical), or Aeronautical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of DoD cybersecurity experience and 2 years' experience in Network Engineering, Programming (C/C++, python, Bash, etc.), Systems Test Engineering, Project Management, Penetration Testing.

Technical Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of DoDM 8140.03 series, Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program and Directive 8140.01 Cyberspace Workforce Management.
• Proficiency in decomposing complex computer systems/networking configurations in support of system exploitation analysis.
• Ability to perform detail‑oriented work quality assurance/quality control prior to delivery to the government.
• Working knowledge of the OPTEVFOR Integrated Evaluation Framework.
• DAWIA T&E Level I or equivalent certification is desirable.
