Description The Information Security Analyst supports cybersecurity operations for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). This role serves as a cybersecurity liaison and organizational ISSO/ISSM, helping protect Air Force networks, information systems, accounts, and data while maintaining compliance with Department of Defense and U.S. Air Force security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve in an organizational cybersecurity liaison, ISSO, and/or ISSM capacity for supported supported organizations.
- Plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security measures that protect computer networks, information systems, digital files, and critical infrastructure.
- Analyze security alerts, logs, reports, and system-health information to identify vulnerabilities, policy violations, and potential security incidents.
- Support incident response by notifying appropriate security leadership and coordinating containment, remediation, corrective actions, and recovery activities.
- Manage and validate user accounts, group memberships, service accounts, privileges, and other Microsoft Active Directory and cloud-based objects for supported environments.
- Verify that users have the required clearance, need-to-know, cybersecurity training, and signed user agreements before receiving system access.
- Conduct annual access and privilege audits and support periodic sampling, inspection, and compliance activities; document findings and coordinate responses with government points of contact.
- Review hardware, software, and firmware configurations for compliance with applicable security technical implementation guides, security requirement guides, DoD, USAF, AFMC, AFLCMC, and local policies.
- Document logon, PowerShell, and similar scripts, along with custom code and supporting security records, on government-controlled resources.
- Support Air Force Zero Trust Architecture and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) initiatives.
- Assist with security policy development, procedure updates, security training, onboarding briefings, and user awareness activities.
- Prepare and coordinate inspection reports, audit documentation, and corrective-action responses with the COR, TPOC, and government points of contact.
Requirements
- Approximately 10 years of relevant information security or cybersecurity experience desired.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
- Ability to serve as a privileged IT-II user in the supported environment.
- One of the following certifications required: CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CASP+, Cloud+, or a higher IT industry-recognized certification.
- Working knowledge of DoD and U.S. Air Force cybersecurity policies, access control, incident response, security auditing, and compliance practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise networks, Microsoft Active Directory and/or cloud identity environments, user access management, and security controls.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work on-site at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and support mission requirements in a classified environment.
