Job summary

Scarborough Health Network is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join the Local Delivery Group (LDG) in the Central East Region. The role supports the Cyber Security program across multiple sites, implementing and monitoring security measures to protect information assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will design and maintain security systems, lead risk assessments, and collaborate with IT teams and partners to strengthen overall security posture and incident readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in a relevant technology field is required.
• 5+ years of work experience managing Cyber Security infrastructure in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of enterprise network, cyber security systems, vulnerabilities, and support requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of network security, TCP/IP, AD, DNS, FTP/SCP, IIS administration, and HTTP.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows infrastructure design and administration.
• Experience with Cloud Security, load balancing solutions, SIEM and EDR technologies.
• Familiarity with Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Splunk and related platforms is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain cyber security systems within the organizational infrastructure.
• Continuously monitor and assess business needs against security concerns, proactively recommending changes to enhance information systems security posture.
• Lead information security assessment and testing, including penetration testing, vulnerability mitigation, threat modeling, authentication, access and authorization controls.
• Conduct evaluations of incoming technology and vendors for due diligence and alignment with security standards.
• Stay abreast of current cyber security threat landscape and provide education and training to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with regional partners to fortify shared systems against threats and vulnerabilities.
• Manage security incidents and lead incident management to minimize risk.
• Review disaster recovery plans and update security policies to meet evolving requirements.
