Job summary

CACI is seeking a Cyber Security/Information Assurance Engineer in Chantilly, VA. The role involves evaluating government systems against NIST SP 800-53/53A and RMF, performing security testing, and producing assessment reports to support authorization decisions.

A TS/SCI with Poly is required, with up to 10% travel. The candidate will conduct hands-on testing, analyze evidence, and coordinate with government agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or computer systems engineering.
• 2–5 years of hands-on information security or network security experience.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Proficiency in Linux, Windows, TCP/IP and network architecture.
• Experience with risk assessments, security frameworks, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on security control testing and analyze BoE documentation.
• Assess severity of weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with program elements and participate in technical exchange meetings.
• Prepare security assessment reports and brief management on findings.
