Overview

Own Your Future. Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Cyber Security - Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Dayton, OH or Hanscom Air Force Base, MA.

As an ISSO with MTSI, you will support a customer operating out of Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio, or Hanscom AFB, MA. This role requires travel up to 20% and involves managing the security aspects of information systems, including security operations, physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training.

You will work closely with the ISSM and ISO to monitor the information system(s), develop and update authorization documentation, implement configuration management, assess security impacts, and make recommendations.

• Assist the ISSM in their duties
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages
• Ensure procedures for hardware/media sanitization
• Notify ISSM of changes affecting authorization
• Conduct system reviews for compliance
• Coordinate hardware/software modifications
• Monitor system recovery processes
• Maintain security documentation
• Review audit records
• Attend technical/security training
• Perform security assessments and provide reports
• Identify vulnerabilities and assist in countermeasures
• Support security activities for customers
• Conduct impact analysis for configuration changes

Qualifications

Required Experience: 5+ years, with 7+ preferred; roles like System/Network Administrator or ISSO.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4-6 years).
Certifications: Must meet DoD Directive 8140 requirements for IAM Level II or IAE Level I.
Clearance: Active Top-Secret with SCI and SAP eligibility; 2+ years’ experience with SAPs.
