A leading digital solutions company is expanding its cybersecurity capabilities and seeking a Cyber Security Systems Engineer – TARA to join its engineering solutions team in the Grand Rapids, MI metro area. This is a 6-month contract with potential for permanent conversion. Local candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. No C2C or third-party agencies, please.

• Compensation: $65-75 per hour.

Cyber Security Systems Engineer – TARA Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in system software engineering with demonstrable cybersecurity experience, specifically in threat analysis and risk assessments (TARA).
• Experience in threat modeling within the automotive industry.
• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
• Experience with JIRA, DOORS, and familiarity with embedded software.
• Experience writing requirements/cybersecurity controls.

Cyber Security Systems Engineer – TARA Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain ISO/SAE 21434-compliant threat models.
• Determine, document, and communicate cybersecurity relevance.
• Identify cybersecurity assets and damage scenarios.
• Perform threat analysis and risk assessments (TARA); Define cybersecurity goals, controls, and requirements; Document and present cybersecurity evidence.
• Support engineering launch teams.
• Analyze the cybersecurity of system architectures and system requirements.
