Job summary

Xona Space seeks a senior Software Engineer focused on cybersecurity and cryptography to design and implement production‑grade cryptographic foundations for our ground segment and satellite infrastructure.

You will lead secure development of ground software, integrate HSMs/TPMs, and ensure trusted communications between Earth and orbit, with emphasis on data protection and resilience.

Qualifications

• Production‑ready cryptographic module design (key mgmt, IAM, TLS, AES‑GCM, ECC).
• Defensive programming to prevent common vulnerabilities and ensure resilience.
• Secure data‑at‑rest for PMEM and protection against cold‑boot/physical attacks.
• Leadership in development of high‑availability ground station software for security lifecycle.
• Integration of HSMs and TPMs for secure key storage and signing operations.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement cryptographic foundations protecting satellite constellation and earth‑to‑orbit data.
• Lead ground segment software development ensuring secure lifecycle management.
• Collaborate on secure integration with HSM/TPM and PKI infrastructures.
• Enhance system resilience against adversarial inputs and supply chain threats.
