Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Consultant to assess risks, identify vulnerabilities, and support testing and incident response efforts.

You will communicate security risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders while implementing policies, controls, and best practices. Collaboration with IT and business teams will embed security across systems.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of threats, frameworks, and security technologies to guide remediation and risk reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Consultant, Security Consultant, Cybersecurity Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, security controls, and industry best practices.
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Experience with SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, security monitoring, and vulnerability management technologies.
• Knowledge of security/compliance standards such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST, or similar frameworks.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity incidents and remediation activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
• CISSP, CISM, CEH, or related cybersecurity certifications are highly desirable.
