System Soft Technologies in Lansing, MI seeks a senior security/compliance professional with 5+ years in public sector frameworks to lead risk and DR planning. Candidates should be versed in NIST CSF/800-53 and state IT security standards. The role is hybrid with no remote work; onsite from day one, two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday).

- Duration: 1 year with possible extension
- Hybrid: Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. (Tuesday/Wednesday)
- Local candidates strongly preferred (within 75-miles of Lansing, MI). Candidates outside of this range may be considered, however, if selected MUST relocate on their own (no assistance from the State) within 2-weeks of their start. There are no exceptions for this, if a candidate is selected and cannot relocate, their assignment will be ended.
-5+ years of experience with knowledge of security and compliance frameworks relevant to public sector environments, such as NIST CSF, NIST 800 53, and state IT security standards.
-5+ years of experience and proficiency in tools used to support security documentation, compliance tracking, and workflow management (e.g., Azure DevOps, GRC platforms).
-5+ years of experience contributing to development, documentation, and testing of Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) for critical systems.
-5+ years of experience in assisting in defining recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).
-Previous government or military experience is preferred.
-A bachelor's degree in information security, cybersecurity, information systems, public administration, or a related field is preferred.
