IEX Group is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst Intern to join the Information Security Team in New York. This role offers cross-functional exposure, enabling you to apply technical, analytical, and communication skills to raise the standard of security posture across the organization.

You will learn and contribute to risk assessment, threat monitoring, incident response, and policy reviews while collaborating with colleagues to defend against evolving cyber threats.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree related to Information Security, Computer Engineering, CS, or a related field.
• Less than 2 years until graduation.
• Familiarity with OS, network security, protocols, app security, infrastructure hardening.
• Comfortable with scripting languages and cybersecurity tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

As a Cyber Security Analyst Intern with the Information Security Team, you will work with individuals across the organization to help advance IEX’s Cyber Security posture. This is a cross-functional opportunity where you will be able to leverage your technical, analytical, and soft skills to help IEX set new standards and raise the bar for performance, fairness, and transparency.

Your background

• Undergraduate working towards a degreerelated to Information Security, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree with less than 2 years until graduation
• Familiarity withtechnology and security topics including but not limited to operating systems, network security,protocols, application security, infrastructure hardening, and security baselines
• Familiarity with scriptinglanguages andtools (e.g., Python, Ruby, BASH, PowerShell)
• Comfortable using Excel and learning cybersecurity tools including vulnerability scanners, SIEM and DLP solutions
• Ability towork well in a team environment,utilizeyour critical thinking skills toidentifyand solution for security related events, ask questions and independently research solutions to find the answers and apply them to your work

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting annual base pay is $35.00 / hour for this NY-based position. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The annual base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for bonus and equity.
