Job summary

The City of New York seeks an Information Security Analyst to monitor alerts, investigate threats, and support a broad Information Security program across access provisioning, log analysis, and incident response. You will help update playbooks, policies and guidelines while contributing to risk management and regulatory compliance efforts.

The role involves leading business continuity planning, conducting BIAs, tabletop exercises, and collaboration with agency divisions to strengthen resilience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 24 credits in cyber security, network security, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in related areas if HS diploma.
  • Education/experience equivalents allowed per policy (60 credits = 1 year; 24 cyber credits + 625-hour cert may substitute).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor alerts and investigate threats; support security operations and incident triage.
  • Lead development and testing of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and conduct BIAs to set RTOs and RPOs.
  • Assist Enterprise Risk Management by identifying risks, monitoring KRIs, and producing leadership dashboards.
