The Cyber Security Analyst I is responsible for reviewing and implementing IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) aspects of the business. This position works closely with business stakeholders and junior Cyber Analysts during contract negotiations and conducts Vendor Risk Assessments (VRA) and Application Risk Assessments (ARA) using industry best practices such as NIST and ISO standards. A strong understanding of Security Governance frameworks/standards like HIPAA, PCI/DSS, NIST, and ISO is essential. The role requires working with structured policies and procedures, maintaining current documentation, and providing exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with various internal and external customers at different organizational levels. The Cyber Security Analyst II also supports the department's business goals and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Review Contracts – Identify and classify Information Security Risks.
  • Perform Vendor Risk Assessments – Collaborate with business stakeholders to classify and mitigate security risks.
  • Provide daily support to Business Stakeholders via the Security Assurance ticketing system and conduct peer reviews of team members' work.
  • Research emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct other risk assessments under the guidance of the Director of Information Security, including HIPAA, PCI/DSS, etc.
  • Assist in selecting and implementing tools to enforce or monitor compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Provide after-hours support for security event monitoring and incident response.
  • Work effectively on assigned tasks, collaborating with IM leaders, directors, and staff to achieve organizational goals.
  • Document and report incidents/events following approved mechanisms, escalate issues appropriately, and assist in developing the security plan.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Security Assurance role; healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, PMP, or similar are preferred.
