This is a fully remote eligible position open to United States based individuals with US work authorizations.

Position Summary

LINQ Services is hiring for a full time Cyber Security Analyst to join our development operations team. If you’re a highly organized and detail-oriented individual looking to begin or grow your career in cyber security, this is your opportunity! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our security governance framework, supporting incident response efforts, driving compliance with internal policies, and helping our organization stay secure and audit-ready. This cross-functional role works closely with Security, IT, and Executive teams to ensure our policies and practices remain robust, relevant, and effective.

Responsibilities
  • Policy & Governance Management
    • Maintain and regularly update the suite of security policies, procedures, and registries.
    • Audit and verify organizational adherence to security policies and controls.
    • Consult on decisions to ensure alignment with internal policies.
  • Incident Response & Ticket Verification
    • Triage, assess, and support the resolution of security incidents and escalations.
    • Review and verify security-related support tickets for risk management and appropriate resolution.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
    • Create and review with appropriate leadership a weekly monitoring report to summarize any security incidents or other concerns.
    • Report on security metrics and create executive-level summaries for off-sites or ad-hoc leadership requests.
    • Lead and manage completion of the security backlog.
  • Vendor & Third-Party Security
    • Conduct regular vendor risk management meetings.
    • Assist with security assessments and audits of potential and current third-party vendors.
  • Security Questionnaires & Client Support
    • Complete and manage incoming security questionnaires from prospects or clients.
  • Security Planning & Improvements
    • Help define and plan future improvements to security infrastructure and processes.
    • Suggest and implement strategic initiatives to mature security posture.
  • Audits & Tool Management
    • Conduct monthly audits of security tools and multi-factor authentication usage.
    • Perform regular checks to ensure effectiveness of implemented controls.
  • Education & Awareness
    • Monitor and suggest improvements for employee cybersecurity awareness training.
    • Assist with implementation and tracking of cybersecurity education initiatives.
  • Ad-hoc Projects
    • Support additional security initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications (Candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered):

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum one year of experience in a security, IT, compliance, or operations-related role (internships or coursework may be considered).
  • Current knowledge in information security, risk, and compliance best practices.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and basic project tracking tools.
  • Ability to follow structured processes and learn new tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal history background check
  • Access to a secure, private workspace and a secure, private internet connection with minimum speeds of 20mb/s download and 10mb/s upload.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in a security, IT, compliance, or operations-related role (internships or coursework may be considered).
  • Familiarity with frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST.
  • Experience with ticketing or project tracking tools (e.g., Salesforce, Jira).
  • Prior experience implementing and utilizing security tools (e.g., MFA, endpoint protection, log review platforms).
