Job summary

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to protect our digital assets and data across the organization. You will design security controls, respond to incidents, and collaborate with IT to remediate vulnerabilities while staying current on evolving threats.

The role emphasizes hands-on security engineering, monitoring, and cross-functional teamwork in a fast-growing environment at our Milwaukee-area location.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information security, IT engineering, or CS.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices.
Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, endpoint security, and scanners.
Hands-on technical work with strong problem-solving and analytics skills.
Experience with Microsoft Security Tools (Defender, Purview) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Cybersecurity architecture and design for strategies, policies, and procedures.
Participate in incident response activities and lead when required.
Implement data security measures including Defender, EDR, and MDR tools.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and tests with remediation follow-up.
Monitor security logs to detect, analyze, and respond to risks.

The Cybersecurity Analyst role

The Cybersecurity Analyst plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization's digital assets, systems, and data from potential cyber threats and attacks. This role supports robust cybersecurity solutions that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information while minimizing risks and vulnerabilities. The Cybersecurity Analyst also collaborates with cross-functional teams and stays updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.

Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Architecture and Design
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures
Incident Response and Management
- Participate in and / or lead incident response activities, including identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security incidents (minor or major) and breaches
Security Solutions Implementation
- Implement data security measures, including Microsoft Defender, EDR platforms, and MDR enhancements
Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing
- Contribute to or co-lead regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on systems, applications, and networks to identify potential weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities and maintain an up-to-date inventory of vulnerabilities and remediations
Security Monitoring and Analysis
- Monitor security logs and alerts from various sources to detect and respond to potential security incidents
- Analyze security data to identify patterns, trends, and potential security risks

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, IT Engineering, or Computer Science and/or relevant work experience
Strong knowledge and experience deploying cybersecurity principles, best practices, technologies, and standards
Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, endpoint security, and vulnerability scanners
\"Hands on\" technical experience along with strong problem-solving and analytics skills
Experience with Microsoft Security Tools (Defender, Purview, etc) a plus
