Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and triage cybersecurity alerts and security incidents.
• Participate in threat detection, incident response, and malware investigations.
• Analyze security logs and alerts using SIEM and monitoring platforms.
• Support vulnerability management efforts, including evaluating findings and assisting with remediation activities.
• Assist with data protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and cybersecurity governance initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, security operations, governance, risk, or a related field.
• Experience investigating security alerts, incidents, or cybersecurity events.
• Experience working with SIEM, security monitoring, or alerting tools.
• Exposure to vulnerability management platforms such as Rapid7 or similar solutions.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, incident response, and risk management.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, ports, protocols, and traffic analysis.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience with LogRhythm, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, or similar SIEM solutions.
• Experience with data governance, DLP, or data protection initiatives.
• Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
• Exposure to governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) programs.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, or ISO 27001.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, GCIH, or equivalent.
