Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Administrator to support a critical task order focused on enhanced domain awareness. The role involves managing security compliance, ATO processes, continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and incident response within cloud and hybrid environments.

The ideal candidate will apply NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD RMF requirements, administer RBAC and least-privilege access, and coordinate with DoD cybersecurity officials to achieve and sustain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field or 5+ years of cybersecurity operations experience.
• Experience implementing security controls for cloud infrastructure and DoD security frameworks.
• Experience with penetration testing, SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel, AWS Security Hub), and risk assessments.
• Administer RBAC and enforce least-privilege access; manage ATO lifecycle with SSP/SAR/POA&M.

Job Description Position Summary Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Administrator to support a critical task order focused on enhanced domain awareness. The role involves managing security compliance, Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and incident response within cloud and hybrid environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure documentation of ATO, security compliance, ATO management, continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and incident response.
• Implement and manage security controls, risk assessments, and compliance measures across GovCloud-hosted environments, including Azure and AWS.
• Apply knowledge of NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, DoD RMF, and IL-4/IL-5 security mandates.
• Utilize experience in security information and event management (SIEM), role-based access control (RBAC), vulnerability scanning, and incident response.
• Employ expertise in cloud-native security tools, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Manage the Authority to Operate (ATO) process including documentation, submission, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
• Demonstrate successful completion and maintenance of ATOs for programs or capabilities within DoD or federal environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field OR a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in cybersecurity operations.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and enforcing security controls for cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with DoD security frameworks.
• Experience managing security configurations, conducting penetration testing, and implementing SIEM solutions such as Microsoft Sentinel and AWS Security Hub.
• Performing risk assessments, continuous security monitoring, and developing mitigation strategies in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Administering RBAC and enforcing least-privilege access policies for mission-critical applications.
• Managing the ATO lifecycle, including preparation of System Security Plans (SSP), Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M).
• Coordinating with DoD cybersecurity officials to achieve and sustain ATOs for cloud-based and on-premises environments.
