Job Description

This position supports the integration of modern technology and processes to enhance security and countermeasures on enterprise endpoints. Responsibilities include implementing endpoint intrusion prevention using Microsoft management and protection tools, antivirus, vulnerability management, and corrective actions. Candidates should understand patching, CVSS v3 ratings, risk ranking, threat mitigation tactics, and techniques.

Compensation: The salary range is $105,000 - $115,000 annually, with potential additional incentives based on experience.

Essential Functions:

• Monitor security systems and respond proactively to threats.
• Develop effective processes to prevent unauthorized network and system access.
• Support automation to optimize team efficiency.
• Create countermeasures to protect personnel and data assets.
• Establish comprehensive logging and monitoring strategies.
• Document incidents, perform root cause analysis, and report findings.
• Manage security administrators overseeing firewalls, intrusion systems, VPNs, threat intelligence, endpoint protection, email security, cloud infrastructure, identity management, and physical security.
• Collaborate with system owners to remediate vulnerabilities and verify security posture.
• Support new application launches, ensuring proper logging and reporting.
• Communicate incident activities effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Define and report key performance metrics aligned with business goals.
• Participate in change management discussions.
• Utilize breach and attack simulation tools to validate controls.
• Apply frameworks like Mitre Attack to identify indicators of compromise and plan next steps.
• Foster team learning and skill sharing.

Qualifications

• Higher education in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3+ years in information security, with 2+ years in security frameworks (CISSP, CRISC, etc. preferred).

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with vulnerability management in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Microsoft server administration background (AD, Security, Azure, O365).
• Certifications: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals; Security Operations Analyst; Azure Security Engineer.
• Knowledge of security regulations (NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.).
• Experience with SharePoint Online, Teams, Office 365, Azure AD Connect, Intune, PowerShell, bash, vb scripting.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Office-based role requiring use of standard office equipment, with ability to work extended periods at a desk, including weekends and holidays as needed.
