Job summary

EVONA is building a secure, scalable US operation in Denver and seeks a Cyber Security Administrator to own the secure IT and cyber environment. You will work hands-on across GCC High, Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, endpoints, networks and IAM to enable compliant operation within highly regulated US aerospace environments.

You will drive hardening, security monitoring, incident response and audit readiness, with ownership across infrastructure and governance in a fast-growing space technology

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience across systems administration, infrastructure, IT operations or cybersecurity.
• Experience in regulated environments such as aerospace, defence or government.
• Hands-on expertise across security infrastructure, governance and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage Microsoft GCC High and Azure Government environments including IAM, identity services and collaboration tools.
• Administer AWS GovCloud, networking, logging and security controls.
• Harden systems, monitor security, investigate incidents and support audits.
• Oversee backup, DR and business continuity planning.
• Coordinate with teams for access management, MFA and privileged access controls.

EVONA is working with a fast-growing space technology company that is building the next generation of satellite systems and expanding its operations across the United States.

As the business scales its US footprint, its technology infrastructure needs to scale with it.

That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Cyber Security Administrator to take ownership of the secure IT and cyber environment supporting the company’s growing Denver operation.

This isn’t a role where you’ll simply inherit a mature corporate environment and keep the lights on.

You’ll be hands‑on across infrastructure, cybersecurity, government cloud platforms and compliance, helping build and strengthen the systems that allow a rapidly growing space company to operate securely within highly regulated US government and aerospace environments.

The opportunity

You’ll become one of the key people responsible for the security and reliability of the US technology environment.

Your world will span Microsoft GCC High, Azure Government and AWS GovCloud, alongside local infrastructure, networks, endpoints, identity and access management.

One day you might be strengthening Conditional Access and privileged access controls. The next, you could be investigating suspicious activity, hardening infrastructure, preparing evidence for a compliance audit or improving the security architecture supporting the company’s continued US expansion.

You’ll have genuine ownership and the opportunity to influence how the environment develops rather than simply following processes designed somewhere else.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Microsoft GCC High, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune and Entra ID
• Azure Government infrastructure, networking, storage, monitoring and security
• AWS GovCloud, including IAM, networking, logging and security controls
• Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments
• Firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, wireless networks and connectivity
• Identity and access management, MFA, RBAC and privileged access
• Endpoint security, EDR, encryption, patching and vulnerability management
• Security monitoring, incident investigation, containment and remediation
• System hardening and security configuration
• Backup, disaster recovery and business continuity
• Employee onboarding, offboarding, hardware and asset management
• Infrastructure and security documentation
• Audit evidence, access reviews, inventories, logs and compliance records

You’ll also help evaluate encryption technologies and protocols including AES, RSA, ECC and TLS/SSL, ensuring data‑at‑rest and data‑in‑transit is appropriately protected and aligned with FIPS 140‑2/140‑3 requirements.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll probably have 5+ years of experience across systems administration, infrastructure, IT operations or cybersecurity, ideally within an aerospace, defence, government or similarly regulated environment.

You should be comfortable getting hands‑on rather than operating purely at policy level.

Experience across several of the following would be particularly valuable:

Microsoft GCC High | Azure Government | AWS GovCloud | Entra ID | Active Directory | Intune | Microsoft Defender | Sentinel | EDR | IAM | Windows Server | Networking | Firewalls | VPNs | Vulnerability Management

Exposure to CMMC, NIST 800‑171, FedRAMP, ITAR, DFARS or comparable regulated environments would also be highly advantageous.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who can solve problems, take ownership and operate effectively in a company moving quickly.
