The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Vulnerability Management (VM) Cyber Managed Services Senior to design, implement, and manage our vulnerability management services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vulnerability management tools and experience working with cybersecurity teams. This role involves creating tailored vulnerability management solutions that align technical expertise with business risk management.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships by understanding stakeholders’ concerns and needs, and develop an internal network of support.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and keep stakeholders informed about outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends relevant to cybersecurity and client needs.
  • Assist teams in evaluating and improving client vulnerability management programs across people, processes, and technology.
  • Contribute to the development of vulnerability management solutions tailored to client environments.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses and evaluate control effectiveness.

Skills And Attributes For Success

  • Knowledge of security standards like ISO 27001, CIS, PCI DSS, NIST, ITIL, COBIT.
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, UNIX, and cloud-based operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Qualys, Nexpose), including deployment and configuration.
  • Ability to evaluate and select vulnerability management tools and vendors.
  • Skills in root cause analysis and technical solution development for vulnerabilities.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts including vulnerability management, incident response, and governance.
  • Project management skills for cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Proficiency with Excel and Power BI for developing metrics.
  • Knowledge of web vulnerabilities, cloud security, and threat intelligence sources.
  • Familiarity with CVE, CWE frameworks, and vulnerability prioritization methods.
  • Ability to create meaningful metrics for diverse audiences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience or graduate degree with 1-2 years of experience.
  • Experience in vulnerability management and using related tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel and hold a valid US driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and strategic/technical issue analysis.
  • Experience in consulting and client-facing roles.
  • Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, GSEC) are a plus.
