We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Purview and Defender for Office Operations Engineer responsible for managing and optimizing these platforms. The role requires expertise in data governance, compliance, and security, along with collaborative skills to enhance our information protection strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Platform Administration: Support and optimize Microsoft Purview and Defender for Office platforms, including configuration and security management.
2. Data Governance and Compliance: Implement policies to ensure regulatory compliance, monitor metrics, and manage DLP strategies.
3. User Support: Provide technical assistance and best practices to end-users.
4. Collaboration and Communication: Work with IT, security, and compliance teams; report incidents and metrics to stakeholders.
5. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on platform features; identify automation opportunities using scripting and tools.
6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of configurations and generate performance and security reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview and Defender for Office.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance frameworks, and security best practices.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python).
• Experience with ServiceNow ticketing and change management.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DLP technologies.
• Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, and data protection laws.
• Knowledge of cloud security concepts.

Work Environment
