We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Purview and Defender for Office Operations Engineer to enhance our cybersecurity team. The role involves administration, management, and optimization of Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Defender for Office platforms, focusing on data governance, compliance, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Platform Administration: Support and administer Microsoft Purview and Defender for Office, ensuring platform performance and security.
2. Data Governance and Compliance: Implement policies for data governance, monitor compliance metrics, and manage data loss prevention strategies.
3. User Support: Provide technical assistance and best practices to end-users.
4. Collaboration and Communication: Work with IT, security, and compliance teams to integrate systems and report on security and compliance metrics.
5. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on platform features, identify process improvements, and automate activities using scripting and automation tools.
6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation and generate performance and security reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview and Defender for Office.
• Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security practices.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python).
• Experience with ServiceNow ticketing and change management.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

Work Environment:
