We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Purview and Defender for Office Operations Engineer responsible for managing and optimizing these platforms. The role requires expertise in data governance, compliance, and security, working collaboratively across teams to enhance our information protection.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Platform Administration: Support and optimize Microsoft Purview and Defender for Office, configuring security settings and policies.
2. Data Governance and Compliance: Implement policies to ensure regulatory compliance, monitor metrics, and manage data classification and DLP policies.
3. User Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users on platform tools and best practices.
4. Collaboration and Communication: Work with IT, security, and compliance teams to integrate platforms and report on security and compliance issues.
5. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on platform features, automate processes, and identify improvements.
6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation and generate performance and compliance reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview and Defender for Office.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python).
• Experience with ServiceNow ticketing and change management.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with DLP and compliance regulations like GDPR, HIPAA.
• Understanding of cloud security concepts.

Work Environment:

This role may require occasional after-hours support. The engineer will work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment to uphold security and compliance.
